Oxford Wood Recycling

Oxford Wood Recycling is a social enterprise providing an environmentally friendly alternative to a skip for producers of wood waste in Oxfordshire, West Buckinghamshire and most of Berkshire. We specialise in recovering reusable materials from the waste collected, which provide local DIYers and woodworking enthusiasts with a sustainable source of low cost timber. See the Wood Shop album to get an idea of the materials we can offer. For waste wood producers, we can provide you with a comprehensive waste audit detailing the destination of all of your waste, which you may be required to have to comply with recent legislation governing the disposal of waste. For wood users, we have an ever changing array of both ordinary and unusual materials. From raised beds to garden sheds, floorboards to firewood, bookshelves to storage boxes or workshops to wine racks. If you can make it from wood our low cost, high quality supplies are sure to fit the bill.

A trolley load of tulipwood trims caught my eye this afternoon. All planed square edge at 30x12mm x 2.4+m long we have well over 100 strips available for just £2.50 each.

Meanwhile in the last picture you'll see that our free wood box is full to overflowing, packed with skinnier hardwood bits that we feel are too small for sale.

In between a variety of pallet panels have arrived, which could be instant walls for a small shed, garden kitchen, dustbin store or similar. There are a few different sizes in the region of 1.3m square, priced from £8-£12 each.

Today we have received an abundance of fabulous quality reclaimed T&G plywood which was formerly flooring in an Amazon warehouse.

All of the sheets have a plastic coating on one side meaning they are completely waterproof (apart from some screw holes). Excellent for shed or workshop flooring amongst other uses.

The majority of sheets are full size 8'x4' (2440x1220mm) but some have ~10cm missing from the ends.

We have lots of lower quality plywood too, from £8/sheet.

Elsewhere in store the core sample creates are reduced to £5 each or buy 1 get 1 FREE.

We have a small number of 6"x6" beams which could make a few planters - £10/length.

Continuing with the garden theme, these 4x1 slats could become fencing, furniture or parts of a compost bin. Only £2.20 for 1.6m.

Just a taster of the versatile products we have in stock at the moment. Visit our store to find out more!

Spring into action this weekend as our racks are bursting with full sheets of plywood!

We also have a plentiful supply of scaffold boards if you are looking at making planters or raised beds....

If you prefer to buy them ready made, we have a number of planters ready to take away in a range of sizes!

Or if you prefer something in between, our core sample boxes scrub up beautifully as planters as you can see!

Of course we have the usual array of timber, beams, hardwoods and even free bags of sawdust!

Come on in to our Wood Shop and have a browse, you can be sure of a warm welcome!
