We’re thrilled to announce that Oxford Wood Recycling is taking part in this year’s Big Give Earth Raise, a national campaign running from 22nd to 29th April that helps charities like ours raise vital funds — with every donation doubled thanks to match funding.

What We’re Doing

Throughout the week, we’re hosting a series of exciting, hands-on activities designed to bring our community together, share skills, and celebrate sustainable living. From DIY advice sessions and hardwood processing demonstrations to birdbox and planter making, whittling workshops, and family fun days, there’s something for everyone.

We’re also offering an Ask Us Anything session about our Wood to Work programme and volunteering opportunities, a chance to learn how we empower people facing barriers to employment through sustainable jobs and skills training.

Why It Matters

At Oxford Wood Recycling, we believe in the power of reclaimed wood to fight climate change, reduce waste, and build community. The funds we raise during Earth Raise will help us expand our workshops, support more people through employment programmes, and keep The Wood Shop stocked with affordable, sustainable timber for local projects.
