We are delighted to be able to offer customers live edge timber in a wide range of hardwoods and a huge selection of sizes. Our resident hardwood hunter is often out scouring the countryside for the best pieces of sustainably sourced British hardwood. We also have regular supplies of smaller hardwood off-cuts suitable for woodturning, carving and making chopping boards.
All of the live edge planking we supply is from trees that have been grown and sourced locally in the UK. Live edge planks are cut down the length of the tree on a band saw leaving the bark on the outer edge. This means that each plank is different and often unusually shaped. You will find unusual species here at Oxford Wood Recycling as well as our favourites each will lend their own character and different grain to the live edge planks.
