Our Wood Shop is always stocked with good quality soft and hard wood reclaimed timber in many sizes for any DIY project. From battening up to 12″ x 12″ beams in unusual lengths from 1 to 5 metres. Always popular are our 3.9m scaffolding boards, pallet wood, board and fabulous natural edge timber.
Our knowledgeable and friendly staff are always on hand to help and discuss your projects. They have many years of experience and a wide variety of skills from general carpentry and construction to wood turning and even coracle making.
Only buy what you need.
We don’t sell to the nearest next length of timber. Inevitably, it’ll be too much and you’ll throw away the excess! That’s not what using reclaimed timber and we’re about. If you know what you need, have a cutting list (and we can help you with that too) we will only sell you what you require for the job. We cut the wood to your list, for a small charge, and it’s still cheaper than buying those extra lengths.
There are two main ways that wood can be cut. One is across the fibres of the grain (the blade cuts at a right angle to the length of the timber) which is known as cross-cutting. The other is along the length of the fibres of the grain (the blade cuts parallel to the length of the timber) which is known as rip cutting. For plywood and sheet materials, due to the interlocking nature of the fibres in their construction, all cuts are known as rip cuts.

We are happy to deliver your wood within 30 miles so if you can’t fit it into your car or prefer to arrange a more convenient time, our team will be happy to help!
