Domestic Wood Waste Collection
We collect indoor and outdoor wooden items from your home such as old sheds, furniture, flooring, decking and fencing, using our caged vehicles and friendly drivers. We’ll collect anything made from wood!

What we do
We collect all types of wood waste (but not trees or garden waste) from your home or garden, return it to our workshop and ensure it is 100% recycled and reused. Wood that we can collect includes:
- left over construction and DIY wood, including MDF and chipboard
- decking and fencing, painted or treated
- sheds (that have already been dismantled with glass and felt removed)
- pallets and crates
- wood flooring and wooden furniture.
How it Works
We take care of the loading of the wood (providing it is no further than 10m from where we park our van). We ensure all your wood is reused or recycled by reclaiming as much as possible passed back to the community as re-use material for DIY and passing the remainder on for chipping. The wood chip is then used as animal bedding, in panel-board manufacture or for power generation. This helps towards reducing CO2 emissions and slows down global warming as power generated is from a renewable source and re-used timber locks up carbon for longer.
As a social enterprise and a charity we provide meaningful employment to people who have been at a disadvantage on the labour market. Asking OWR to collect your wood waste supports learning and employment opportunities and could help transform someone’s life.
Cost
According to our research the average trade rate for a 12 yd skip in Oxfordshire is currently over £400 + VAT. Therefore, our new price for loose wood waste collection, for collections booked after 1st June 2026 still represents great value

Price per cubic yard £30 (Charged per cubic yard and signed off on-site).
Minimum charge load 8yd³ of mixed waste £240 + VAT

We offer a competitive commercial service but are a charity and your valued custom enables Oxford Wood Recycling to reclaim materials for further use and to operate the Wood to Work employability service, finding employment for people facing barriers to working. Since 2017 we have collected nearly 10million tonnes of waste wood and found new life for over 3mn tonnes of that wood
