Part Time – 2 days per week (Extra days available)
We are keen to meet you if you believe in Climate Action! ….. and if you are a motivated and enthusiastic person who enjoys working outside, have a clean driving licence and you are keen to make a difference in your community. Based in Abingdon, our Driver/Wood collectors are experienced drivers, able to safely lift and carry heavy weights and who work well as a team. They are able to complete regulatory paperwork and communicate well with customers. The role involves collecting and loading wood waste, usually from commercial properties and building sites across Oxfordshire, and also delivering customer orders of reclaimed wood.
This position would suit a self-employed person who is looking for extra work. The role is Part time and Permanent. Variable hours – weekdays only, to cover Annual Leave. Normal collecting hours 0700 – 1530. 25 days annual leave Plus Bank holidays. (pro rata). Workplace pension. Wages: £8.95 per hour.

The organisation typically supports people who live with a disability or who have experienced mental or physical ill-health. Twinned with the social mission is the environmental aim to increase the reuse of wood and timber in the community by recovering timber from waste streams and promoting its re-use via sales and information at the Woodshop – a reclaimed timber warehouse based at the Abingdon site.
