Oxford Wood Recycling

Oxford Wood Recycling is a social enterprise providing an environmentally friendly alternative to a skip for producers of wood waste in Oxfordshire, West Buckinghamshire and most of Berkshire. We specialise in recovering reusable materials from the waste collected, which provide local DIYers and woodworking enthusiasts with a sustainable source of low cost timber. See the Wood Shop album to get an idea of the materials we can offer. For waste wood producers, we can provide you with a comprehensive waste audit detailing the destination of all of your waste, which you may be required to have to comply with recent legislation governing the disposal of waste. For wood users, we have an ever changing array of both ordinary and unusual materials. From raised beds to garden sheds, floorboards to firewood, bookshelves to storage boxes or workshops to wine racks. If you can make it from wood our low cost, high quality supplies are sure to fit the bill.

We've had a nice selection of new hardwoods in this morning, including some straight edged stock ideal for shelves, one whopping great ash slab which looks destined to be a desk or table top, and a pair of book matching yew planks shown here in the opening photo, and a trolley full of other off-cuts that might suit woodturning or small furniture items.

All are priced here in store and ready for sale, so do visit if you'd like to admire them properly.
You can also order items over the phone, on 01235861228.

There's a busy pallet wood production line in operation today, so watch out for rogue timbers when you are parking out there.
This product is perfect for indoor and outdoor cladding, and from just £9.60/m² it's also a bit of a bargain considering the work that's involved to get them dismantled and de-nailed.

At 3.4m long we think this kiln dried oak slab has 'bar top' written all over it, though it could easily be cut down to make smaller pieces of furniture.
Width is shown in the pics and thickness is around 3cm.
This is the longest board we've got in stock today and it's definitely a delight to behold 😍 but there are plenty of shorter slices to choose from too...
