Following the recently announced lockdown easing roadmap, we have taken the decision to reopen our doors to the public once again from Monday 8th March 2021.
Having taken the difficult decision to close to the public from 5th January 2021, we continued to carry out our collections service and operate on a strict delivery only service for all wood purchases that would otherwise have been click and collect or an instore transaction. In a similar way to builders merchants, we were eligible to remain open throughout this current lockdown period, however to best protect our team at OWR and the public, we chose to temporarily suspend this part of the business.
Now the doors can reopen, tentatively, so that customers can collect their orders, enter the shop to browse and select their materials in person. A series of measures are being implemented to provide a COVID Secure environment for both the team at OWR and the general public, these are in addition to the raft of measures already in place.
All visitors can enter the wood shop, however rules are similar to those of supermarkets:
- admittance is managed via doorbell, no family groups are permitted,
- number of customers in the shop at any one time limited (to match the number of staff available to serve, typically two, maximum of four),
- all staff and customers to wear face coverings,
- 2metre rule to be strictly adhered to, and
- sanitisation stations at entrance and further distributed around the shop.
The team at OWR are thrilled to be able to welcome customers back to the shop, at a safe distance, and will ensure that every measure to ensure the safety of everyone involved is implemented.
Until Monday 8th March, if your enquiry is urgent please get in touch via email or the contact form, but if you can wait until the 8th March then please do so. (We are currently 3-4 days behind with the emails, but are working hard to keep up)
